Learn more about Service Agricole

The history of SA Service Agricole began in 1997. Lafaille et fils Ltée became a partner of Service Agricole Omer Madore Inc., which had been operating this business since 1974, and which became Service Agricole de l’Estrie in 2003. Lafaille et fils Ltée has been involved in the agricultural sector since the 1940s, particularly in the trade and auctioning of livestock as well as the operation of a dairy farm.

In 2015, wishing to further develop the company, Lafaille et Fils purchased the assets of Services Bivac, the AGCO dealer for the Beauce region. The new company, now called Service Agricole de Beauce Inc., welcomed a new partner, David Picard. Less than a year later, the company opened a new branch in St-Georges de Beauce, bringing the total number of branches to three. This rapid growth and the synergy between each location benefited everyone.

In November 2018, Lafaille et Fils Ltée, along with their partner David Picard, continued their expansion by acquiring Garage Paul-Émile Anctil, which became Service Agricole du Bas-St-Laurent. This AGCO dealership serves the greater Bas St-Laurent and Gaspésie regions. This new branch became the fourth location of the SA Service Agricole group.

In February 2020, the fifth branch was acquired in Pont-Rouge, allowing the company to serve customers in the Portneuf and Québec regions. Service Agricole Québec Portneuf also welcomed a new partner, Mathieu Roy.

Today, with five branches across Quebec and a team of about one hundred employees, SA Service Agricole serves customers in Estrie, Beauce, Bas St-Laurent, Gaspésie, and Québec Portneuf.
