Assistant Director, Nephrology Program

JOB SUMMARY :

Reporting to the Director of Renal Health Learning Client Program Services, the incumbent coordinates the Nephrology Program at the regional level. They carry out high-level, highly complex development, updating and research work, which often requires the performance of technical, delicate and confidential tasks, with minimal supervision. In addition to assuming various administrative tasks, they demonstrate discretion and diplomacy in the performance of the duties entrusted to them.

 

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor of administrative studies, humanities, communications, social sciences, or health sciences;
  • Graduate degree in business administration, management, nursing, or health administration (an asset);
  • Five years' experience in a management position or equivalent;
  • Very good understanding of the health care sector and its administration;
  • In-depth knowledge of health care needs and realities;
  • Significant experience in managing reorganization projects and major changes (an asset);
  • Any combination of training, employment and experience deemed relevant will be considered;
  • Knowledge of computer tools;
  • Proficiency in developing clinical policies, procedures and forms;
  • Experience in program coordination;
  • Demonstrated skills in strategic change management, systems transformation, team mobilization and communication;
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively;
  • Ability to thrive in a complex, ambiguous and constantly changing environment;
  • Experience in managing diverse teams, resources, projects, and strategic and operational initiatives;
  • Ability to build strong and effective partnerships;
  • Organizational agility and high degree of autonomy;
  • Initiative and discretion in handling files;
  • Support for the various services of the program;
  • Ability to manage large workloads and establish prioritization mechanisms;
  • Excellent command of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Meditech, Adobe and Internet navigation; willingness to learn new software as needed;
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to supervise staff;
  • Organizational and teaching skills;
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network’s management philosophy, and organizational values;
