Description
Our energy & resources client is seeking a Senior SAP Supply Chain Functional Analyst to design and enable SAP S/4HANA-based supply chain processes
Join a large-scale ERP transformation within a leading oil & gas organization where SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain capabilities are being standardized and modernized. This role shapes fit-to-standard design decisions across procurement, inventory, logistics, and planning domains while maintaining clean core principles. The position provides end-to-end functional governance across integrated platforms such as Fieldglass and Ariba, reducing delivery risk and ensuring business readiness for go live. It offers deep engagement with both technical teams and operational stakeholders in a high-visibility, enterprise-level environment.
Duration: Initial contract to the end of March 2027 with a possibility of extension
Working model: Hybrid onsite within downtown Calgary (3 days onsite/ 2 days remote)
Must Haves
- 8+ years of SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain functional experience including Materials Management (MM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
- Hands-on ERP transformation and fit-to-standard design experience with clean core governance
- Strong functional knowledge across Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and Inventory & Logistics
- Experience with integrated SAP platforms including Ariba and Fieldglass
- University degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline
Nice to Have
- Understanding of OpenInvoice, VIM, or integrated reporting landscapes
- Certification such as CPIM, CSCP, SCMP, or SAP professional credentials
- Experience participating in major ERP cutover and go-live readiness initiatives
Responsibilities
- Guide and validate SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain designs ensuring alignment with business and standard capabilities
- Lead fit-to-standard workshops and document deviations following clean core principles
- Evaluate functional gaps and recommend appropriate configuration or extensions
- Collaborate with technical teams and system integrator to confirm end-to-end integration requirements
- Support functional testing, data readiness, and deployment activities across Supply Chain domains
- Contribute to training and adoption efforts enabling stable day one go live
- Provide governance oversight to manage scope, risk, and design decisions within structured frameworks
