Our energy and resources client is seeking a Senior SAP Human Resources Functional Analyst to design, validate, and enable SAP S/4HANA-based HR processes

Join a high‑impact ERP initiative within a leading oil and gas organization, bridging business objectives with SAP standard capabilities. This position drives end‑to‑end HR process design across SAP S/4HANA and integrated platforms including Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Fieldglass. Operating at enterprise scale, the role provides visibility with senior management and direct influence over corporate data management strategies.

Duration: Initial contract to the end of March 2027 with a possibility of extension

Working model: Hybrid onsite within downtown Calgary (3 days onsite/ 2 days remote)

Must Haves

  • 10-15 years working with SAP S/4HANA Human Resources and integrated systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Fieldglass
  • Proficiency in data management and database design including high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery integration
  • Experience providing strategic direction for enterprise‑wide data stewardship and database technologies
  • Ability to recommend technology strategies and lead multiple concurrent data management projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience developing corporate standards and procedures for new database technologies
  • Exposure to evaluating and piloting emerging technologies supporting HR systems evolution

Responsibilities

  • Design and validate HR processes within SAP S/4HANA aligned with clean‑core principles
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure scalable HR process delivery
  • Guide corporate data management strategy and oversee database design and stewardship initiatives
  • Develop policies and methods enhancing enterprise data management frameworks
  • Provide leadership in prioritizing, scheduling, and reporting on project deliverables
  • Support continuous improvement and innovation within HR and ERP operations
