Our energy & resources client is seeking a Senior SAP Project Systems Functional Analyst to design and enable SAP S/4HANA-based Project Systems and EPPM solutions

Join a high-impact ERP transformation within the oil & gas sector focused on advancing SAP S/4HANA-based Project Systems and EPPM capabilities. This role guides the functional design, governance, and adoption of scalable, fit-to-standard SAP PS processes integrated with systems like Omega PIMS and Primavera. The position offers decision-making authority across design, integration, data readiness, and business adoption to ensure operational readiness and long-term solution integrity.

Duration: Initial contract to the end of March 2027 with a possibility of extension

Working model: Hybrid onsite within downtown Calgary (3 days onsite/ 2 days remote)

Must Haves

• Deep functional expertise in SAP S/4HANA Project Systems with integration to Omega PIMS, Primavera, and SAP EPPM
• Proven experience leading fit to standard and clean core design for Project Systems within large ERP programs
• Strong functional governance background including requirements validation, design decision making, and scope control
• Hands-on involvement in data readiness, testing, and cutover preparation for Project Systems deployment
• University degree in Project Systems, Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Omega 365, Hexagon, or Cleopatra integrations
• Project Systems or SAP certifications (SAP PS, SAP EPPM)
• Testing or delivery certifications such as ISTQB or PMP

Responsibilities

• Guide the design and validation of SAP S/4HANA Project Systems processes aligned with business objectives and SAP standards
• Lead fit to standard workshops, documenting deviations and aligning design with clean core principles
• Evaluate functional gaps and recommend configuration, extensions, or governed customizations
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure end-to-end integration across SAP PS, EPPM, Omega PIMS, and Primavera
• Manage functional governance to control requirements, scope, and risk across the transformation
• Define testing scenarios and validate data readiness supporting cutover and operational go live
• Support change enablement and transition activities ensuring strong business adoption and sustainment
