Our energy and resources client is seeking a Senior Data Analytics and Machine Learning Specialist (10+ years) to develop predictive models using Databricks within the oil and gas domain
Join a leading oil and gas organization leveraging data-driven insights to optimize critical operational decisions. This role focuses on building and deploying advanced machine learning solutions using Databricks while collaborating with cross-functional data teams. The position provides direct impact on key resource and performance initiatives within a dynamic energy environment.
Contract, Calgary, Onsite, Working Hours: MST - 3 days on site
Must Haves
- 10+ years in data analytics and machine learning within the oil and gas industry
- Hands-on expertise with Databricks for advanced ML workflows
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or data-focused discipline
Nice to Have
- Experience integrating analytical outputs with operational systems
- Background in energy resource optimization or predictive modeling
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement machine learning models within Databricks
- Collaborate with data teams to enhance analytics pipelines
- Support analysis of oil and gas datasets to inform operational decisions
