Senior Business Analyst to support Disaster Recovery & Resiliency projects

Our energy and utilities client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support Disaster Recovery & Resiliency projects

Join a high-impact Disaster Recovery & Resiliency Services team driving the multi-year Disaster Recovery Gap Remediation & Enhancement Program. This role supports application architecture reviews, technical recovery documentation, and end-to-end requirements management across complex IT infrastructure systems. The contract offers exposure to enterprise-level systems within a critical energy environment and carries a strong likelihood of renewal.

This 37.5 hr/week contracting role requires you to be onsite 3 days/week

Must Haves

• 10+ years in business analysis or business systems analysis within IT infrastructure environments
• Background in disaster recovery, resiliency planning, or business continuity initiatives
• Experience developing functional and non-functional requirements for system architecture and process documentation
• Proficiency in technical writing and facilitation across IT teams, business units, and project stakeholders
• Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline

Nice to Have

• Exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Maximo, or JDE
• Experience with Enterprise Billing, Operations, or Engineering Systems
• Prior involvement in Business Continuity projects within the energy industry

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical leads and IT SMEs to conduct application architecture reviews and assess redundancy options
• Develop new Disaster Recovery Plans and Technical Recovery Guides through process documentation and technical writing
• Prepare and support DR test execution, including submitting and managing change requests
• Define detailed functional and non-functional requirements for system architecture and functionality
• Lead project team sessions to establish a Disaster Recovery Test Strategy and related artifacts
• Map critical business processes for mission-critical systems, applications, and platforms
• Develop transition-to-operation documentation and artifacts as assigned
