Our oil and gas client is seeking an Intermediate Network Specialist to manage and troubleshoot Cisco firewalls and switching infrastructure using Cisco FMC

Must Haves

• 5+ years of experience with Cisco firewalls and Firepower Management Center (FMC)
• Strong background in network switching and intermediate knowledge of routing protocols
• Ability to handle incident troubleshooting and follow-up documentation

Nice to Have

• Exposure to routing escalation and collaboration with senior network engineers
• Hands-on experience with Cisco wireless controllers and day-to-day configuration support
• Experience with backlogs related to firewall management and optimization
• Knowledge of standard field communication and facility coordination processes
• Familiarity with midstream or infrastructure delivery environments

Responsibilities

• Manage and address backlog items related to Cisco firewalls
• Perform configuration and troubleshooting on switches, routers, and wireless controllers
• Coordinate with field teams to identify, diagnose, and resolve network incidents
• Document incidents, updates, and remediation steps in accordance with internal standards
• Monitor and maintain firewall and network device health using Cisco FMC
• Support routing issues escalated from senior engineers as required
• Ensure steady and professional communication with facility and field personnel during technical resolution
