Junior Planning Analyst to support the network and asset management planning team through data-driven analysis and economic modelling

Our large Oil & Gas industry client is seeking a Junior Planning Analyst to support the network and asset management planning team through data-driven analysis and economic modelling.

This is an initial 1-year contract with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will follow a full-time onsite working model in Downtown Calgary.

Must-Haves:

• 3+ years' experience in a Planning, Project Planning, or Economic Analysis role, ideally within retail/downstream
• Advanced Excel experience; experience with Power BI
• Ability to synthesize data into clear insights and recommendations
• Strong analytical and economic modelling skills
• Excellent communication skills, ability to distill complex information into simple, key messages
• Strong stakeholder management skills and non-authoritative management skills
• 2-3 years corporate experience - with the ability to utilize Microsoft Suite

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience within the Oil and Gas industry, preferably downstream
• Experience within network planning or asset management teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze site performance and market trends to evaluate the long-term profitability of proposed network investments, providing recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Conduct economic evaluations (NPV, IRR, Payback) to evaluate capital and sustaining projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate the retail/downstream network through data-driven analysis and economic modelling.
