Your Impact

As a Mill Maintenance Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient execution of maintenance activities that directly support operational reliability, safety, and production outcomes. Your meticulous planning will help minimize equipment downtime and enhance productivity across the mill.

As part of our team, you will:
  • Plan and scope maintenance work aligned with maintenance and production goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to allocate resources and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Liaise with contractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of services, materials and equipment.
  • Monitor progress and proactively adjust plans to address challenges.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities meet Newmont’s safety and environmental standards.
  • Develop task lists, bills of materials (BoMs) and manage asset master data changes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and inspection reports
  • Assess relevant risks, implement mitigation measures, and continuously monitor for risks to minimize operational impact
  • Assess performance metrics and compile maintenance reports
  • Contribute to weekly schedule meeting reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with monthly cost forecasting, annual budgeting, and cost analysis.
Prerequisites for your success in this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant trade certificate (i.e., Red seal or journeyperson trade designation, engineering, technologist, MMP, etc.).
  • Proven experience in maintenance planning in a processing or industrial plant
  • Proficiency in SAP or equivalent CMMS, and knowledge of isolation design and permit-to-work systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read OEM manuals, P&IDs, and technical drawings
  • Proven ability to prepare technical scopes of work
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Understanding of budgeting processes and KPI development
  • Committed to safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement

  • Location: Red Chris Mine, northern BC (Tahltan Territory)

  • Rotation: 15/13, fly-in-fly-out

  • Accommodation: Camp-based with meals, Wi-Fi, gym, and recreational facilities

The expected salary range for this role is CA$83,400-120,000 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
