Position Summary

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Business Development Specialist will be responsible for developing new partnerships with regional chains and strategic clients, while strengthening existing relationships.
This position combines strategic sales planning, negotiation, and client support, with a strong focus on long-term value creation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to attract new clients in the food industry.

  • Identify client needs, priorities, and business challenges to propose relevant and profitable solutions.

  • Manage sales activities through the CRM system, ensuring accurate tracking and collaboration with internal teams.

  • Prepare and deliver customized commercial proposals and professional presentations.

  • Negotiate commercial agreements in line with pricing policies and profitability objectives.

  • Ensure the smooth onboarding and handoff of new clients to the account management team.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, events, and within industry networks to promote brand visibility.


Profile Sought
  • Minimum 4 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in the food service or distribution industry.

  • Strong understanding of the regional chains market and food service dynamics.

  • Proven skills in prospecting, negotiation, and client relationship management.

  • Bilingualism (French and English) required for communication with clients and internal teams.

  • Excellent communication, planning, and teamwork abilities.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, results-oriented, and strong customer service focus.

  • Willingness to travel within the province as required.
