A career as a Product Owner (PO) in the Everyday and International Payments team at National Bank means transforming and modernizing payment systems.
This role allows you to make a positive impact on our organization through your expertise in product management and your knowledge of payments.

Your role:

  • Act as a Product Owner (PO) following Scrum/Agile methodology, leading complex projects that translate into tangible functionalities.
  • Be responsible for delivering initiatives and contributing to the roadmap for solution development.
  • Break down and sequence a target vision to maximize value delivery, considering constraints and interdependencies with other projects or business lines. This includes building and managing the product backlog to achieve the business vision, and prioritizing the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) based on business value for the delivery team.
  • Support and guide change management, gain stakeholder buy-in, and manage resistance to change.
  • Continuously improve and enhance the product to meet current and future needs and elevate the user experience.

Your team:
You will be part of a team of four colleagues, reporting to the Senior Director of the Everyday and International Payments PO team.

You will actively contribute to the transformation of payments by supporting key strategic initiatives, including the modernization of Canada’s Payment rail (RTR). You will play a pivotal role in the evolution of our solutions, working closely with stakeholders to deliver concrete and sustainable results.

Requirements:

 
  • Bachelor’s degree related to the field and six years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree related to the field and four years of relevant experience.
  • Experience delivering solutions as a Product Owner (PO).
  • Ability to work in Agile environments: Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and deliver without having all specifications upfront.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey information and ideas.
