JOB SUMMARY:
The position holder reports to the Director – Governance, Legal Compliance, and Risk. They act as a contract management expert for the Network by providing the required guidance for contract administration, with the goal of reducing organizational risks. In addition, they are responsible for evaluating contracts to ensure that both the content and the consultation and signing processes are compliant. They develop contract management tools, provide training, oversee document management, and develop contracts or agreements as needed. They ensure follow-up on contracts and monitor progress related to contract extensions, closures, or renewals.
The position holder also works with colleagues from the Organizational Risk Office to assess organizational risks and respond to consultation or advisory requests, relying on legislation, case law, Network policies, best practices, and their professional experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field is required;
- A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline may be considered an asset;
- Any other combination of training and experience deemed relevant and equivalent may be considered;
- Six (6) years or more of experience in a similar role;
- Experience in a nonprofit and/or healthcare environment is considered an asset;
- Demonstrated skills and experience in developing and implementing best practices;
- A combination of equivalent training and experience may be considered;
- Demonstrated rigor, appropriate judgment, and ability to work as part of a team;
- Strong interpersonal, coordination, and organizational skills, along with the ability to synthesize information;
- Knowledge of risk management as well as the laws and regulations governing the healthcare system, particularly with respect to procurement;
- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze and develop creative and strategic solutions;
- Demonstrated mobilizing and transformational leadership focused on results;
- Ability to support one’s own development and that of others;
- Ability to build relationships with others (effective communication, networking, and partnership building) and strong persuasive skills;
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to explain complex concepts in a simple manner;
- Ability to work under pressure in a changing environment;
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
- Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
- Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
