Manager of Facility Maintenance and Operations

JOB SUMMARY:

The manager will be responsible for the planning and coordination of all activities related to facility maintenance and operations in Zone 6.

REQUIREMENTS:

• College program in building engineering technology or a related field;
• Minimum of three years’ experience in hospital, commercial or industrial building construction;
• Minimum of three years’ supervisory experience;
• Leadership;
• Initiative and sound judgment;
• Problem-solving skills;
• Organizational skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to work with software such as Excel, Word, Autocad, Megamation, Smartuse and others as needed;
• Good knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
• Good knowledge of the Standards for Health Care Facilities (CSA-Z8000);
• Good knowledge of the National Building Code;
• Good knowledge of the National Fire Code;
• Written and spoken knowledge of English and French is required;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Physical ability to perform assigned work;
• Good work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network’s management philosophy and organizational values;
• Adherence to Vitalité Health Network’s confidentiality rules.
