JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director, Medical Device Reprocessing Departments (MDRDs), the MDRD Manager plans, organizes, coordinates, and oversees all activities related to the reprocessing of medical devices.The incumbent ensures optimal management of their department’s human, financial, material, and information resources to guarantee patient safety and service excellence. They are responsible for the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of quality programs, ensuring strict compliance with standards and regulatory requirements. They also oversee the development and continuing education of staff to ensure that they maintain the required skills and certifications.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Health Sciences;
- Training in reprocessing or sterilization in compliance with Canadian Standards Association (CSA) requirements, or commitment to obtain such training within the prescribed timeframe;
- Knowledge of quality standards and specifications (CSA, ISO, HACCP);
- Minimum of four years’ relevant experience in the health field;
- Minimum of four years’ management experience;
- Any other combination of relevant training and experience deemed equivalent;
- Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite and other software applications used within the Network;
- Ability to manage specialized reprocessing systems;
- Inspirational leadership and ability to influence;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to analyze complex situations, solve problems and make informed decisions;
- Sound judgment, initiative and strategic mindset;
- Proven conflict resolution and change management skills;
- Excellent time management and ability to establish priorities;
- Ability to travel within the zone and within Vitalité Health Network, as needed;
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
- Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
- Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
