Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Manager Quebec, Business Development and Marketing, Individual Insurance and Investment, the incumbent will act as an internal advisor and will support the sales team in its dealings with distribution network partners, advisors and general agents. He or she will also be required to perform certain tasks related to a specific aspect of the marketing or document management role in the development of tools for the sales team.

Tasks

  • Work with the Business Development team to provide prompt and courteous service to advisors, general agents and their staff;
  • Respond to calls and emails from advisors, general agents and their staff as an internal advisor;
  • Provide support to the Business Development team in their day-to-day administrative tasks;
  • Follow up with advisors and key internal people on specific matters that are sometimes complex;
  • Actively participate in external business development events, ensuring the company gains visibility among the distribution network;
  • Research and monitor emerging trends and innovations in insurance and investment;
  • Participate in the onboarding of new advisors with a defined communication schedule and act as the first point of contact;
  • Update pricing data and generate reports for sales;
  • Prepare and send a variety of promotional items and marketing materials;
  • Work with the Communications team to monitor marketing projects, distribution network events and document management projects;
  • Collaborate on the deployment of innovative marketing campaigns for the individual insurance and investment business lines;
  • Write and edit marketing content, tools and presentations for advisors and general agents;
  • Participate in the development and accreditation of presentations and training courses for the distribution network and prepare and send attendance certificates;
  • Train new advisors on the systems and products available at UV Insurance by phone, in presentations or webinars or by any other means;
  • Inform advisors and partners of new features and available products to help achieve team objectives;
  • Answer service calls from UV business unit clients for all matters relating to their insurance contracts and investments, guide them in their choice and conduct a financial needs analysis to support them in their decision-making process;
  • Ensure compliance with privacy-related policies and procedures;
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Requested skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration or any other combination of education and relevant experience.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a sales or personal insurance marketing role.

Required skills, competencies or qualifications

  • Valid personal insurance certificate;
  • Bilingualism (French and English) required both verbally and in writing to support our French and English clients;
  • Knowledge of the personal insurance market and investment products;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent client-focused approach and sales skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects through planning, organization, coaching and follow-up activities;
  • Organizational skills and resourcefulness;
  • Flexibility and ability to tolerate change and work under pressure;
