  YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper operation, preventive maintenance, and safety of the hotel facilities. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to maintain a safe, functional, and high-quality environment in accordance with company standards.   RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance work according to established schedules
  • Carry out various repairs related to the building, equipment, and hotel facilities
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify any issues or deficiencies
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure smooth day-to-day activities
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from departments and guests
  • Ensure building safety and act as a first responder during emergency situations
  • Maintain technical areas and equipment clean, safe, and operational
  • Follow occupational health and safety regulations as well as company standards
  • Assist with the general upkeep of public areas and guest rooms, as needed
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned

  REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma in building maintenance or related field (asset)
  • Hotel industry experience (asset)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar role
  • General knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, painting, and building maintenance
  • Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment
  • Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends based on operational needs
  LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Fluency in French, both spoken and written, is required for this position.
An intermediate level of English is required to occasionally communicate with English-speaking guests, external suppliers, and to understand certain technical documents. The use of English represents approximately 15 to 25% of the tasks related to the position.   About Urgo Hotels Canada
