Position: Sales Manager (NOC 64101)
Type: Permanent and full-time
Salary: $72,000 per year
The candidate will be responsible for developing and promoting hotel sales. In collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Director, you will work toward the common goal of maximizing occupancy and average rates.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and respond to leads and potential customers from prospecting calls;
- Develop business opportunities;
- Create weekly sales reports.
- Establish and maintain privileged business relationships with key and potential account managers through courtesy calls, visits, and appointments;
- Maintain and follow up on key and potential customer files;
- Perform tasks and objectives as described in the marketing plan;
- Participate in weekly sales meetings, training sessions, and other meetings required by the sales manager;
- Maintain good relationships with customers;
- Work closely with the sales teams at each hotel;
- Develop and maintain relationships with competing hotels, chambers of commerce, tourist offices, convention centers, etc.;
- Participate in local activities and events related to employees and customers.
SKILLS & QUALITIES
- A minimum of three (3) years of recent and relevant experience in a position related to sales, event coordination, account management, or customer service in the hospitality industry;
- Bachelor's degree in hotel management, administration, communications, marketing, or a related field;
- Strong performance in proactive sales;
- Ability to use advanced computer system functions (customer tracking, inventory control, forecasting tools, etc.);
- Creative and results-oriented personality;
- Proactive and professional;
- Enthusiasm and positivity;
- Attentive, available, and approachable;
- Bilingualism (spoken and written);
- Knowledge of Delphi an asset.
