Role and mission
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for the strategic, operational and financial management of all catering activities, including Il Soffio Restaurant & Bar, Banquets and Events, F&B services related to both hotels. You are the conductor of F&B operations, guaranteeing the quality of the customer experience, the mobilization of the teams and the profitability of the department.
Key Responsibilities
1. Management of restoration operations
- Plan, organize and supervise the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and banquets
- Ensure consistency between culinary vision, service and customer experience
- Ensure compliance with MAPAQ, OHS, hygiene and sanitation standards
- Optimize operational processes based on traffic and seasonality
- Supervise, mobilize and develop the catering teams (kitchen, service, banquets)
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training, in collaboration with HR
- Scheduling and ensuring effective workforce management
- Evaluate performance, recognize talent and maintain a healthy work environment
- Participate in the development and monitoring of the F&B budget
- Control costs (food, beverage, labour, inventory)
- Analyze performance indicators (revenues, margins, customer satisfaction)
- Implement continuous improvement and profitability actions
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing teams
- Contribute to the creation of menus, special offers and distinctive culinary experiences
- Analyze market trends and opportunities for your department
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and proactively manage sensitive situations
- Represent the department at internal and external meetings
- Maintain strong relationships with partners, suppliers and customers
Working conditions

Education and experience
- Degree in Hotel Management, Catering, Administration or related field (Asset)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food and beverage management in a hotel environment
- Experience in budget management, team supervision and F&B operations
- MAPAQ Certification (Asset)
- Knowledge of Marriott systems (an asset)
- Mobilizing and results-oriented leadership
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to evolve in a dynamic and demanding environment
- Bilingualism French/English required
- Availability for a variable schedule (evenings, weekends, holidays)
