Description
Our client is looking for a Sr. Project Manager (security designations) to support an Information Protection project for a post secondary institution.
Must Have's:
- 7+ years of experience as Project Manager
- Understanding of new legislation (Protection of Privacy Act (POPA) and Access to Information Act (ATIA)
- PMP
- Cyber certifications like CISSP, CIPP
Nice to Have's:
- Post secondary experience
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Information Protection Project at MacEwan University.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Engage stakeholders across departments to assess current-state information protection practices.
- Ensure institutional alignment with POPA and ATIA through gap analysis and process redesign.
- Coordinate implementation of cybersecurity improvements in collaboration with IT and InfoSec teams.
- Prepare and present project status updates, compliance findings, and recommendations to executive leadership.
