Our energy & resources client is seeking a Senior Scrum Master/Agile Coach (8+ years) to lead agile delivery for an AI prototyping team building AI and data‑intensive solutions

This role leads Agile delivery for a prototyping team, ensuring velocity, transparency, and continuous improvement while collaborating across product, data, and AI/ML development functions. It offers the opportunity to combine Agile leadership with technical fluency in advanced AI concepts such as LLMs, RAG, and vector databases.

Duration: 1 year initial contract with a possibility of extension

Working model: Hybrid in downtown Calgary (3 days onsite/ 2 days remote)

Must Haves

• 8-10 years an Agile Coach/ScrumMaster with experience leading high-velocity delivery, innovation, or prototyping teams
• Strong experience facilitating Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Experience managing and prioritizing AI/GenAI-focused product backlogs while driving sprint execution and delivery accountability
• Working understanding of AI/GenAI delivery concepts including LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and multi-agent systems
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional product owners, AI/ML, data engineering, and platform teams
• Strong ability to manage delivery risks, dependencies, and impediments within fast-paced Agile environment

Nice to Have

• Post‑secondary education in a relevant field
• Familiarity with MLOps or LLMOps environments
• Experience mentoring Agile teams towards autonomy and self‑organization
• Exposure to cross‑functional collaboration in AI or data engineering contexts

Responsibilities

• Facilitate all core Agile ceremonies, maintaining consistent cadence and team engagement
• Partner with the Product Owner to manage and prioritize AI prototyping backlogs
• Track and report metrics such as velocity and sprint progress for executive updates
• Remove delivery impediments and manage inter‑team dependencies to sustain sprint momentum
• Coach teams on continuous improvement and Agile maturity
• Collaborate across product, data engineering, and AI development groups to align sprint objectives
• Operate with autonomy and accountability, supporting minimal‑oversight delivery
