Senior QA Specialist to lead UAT for logistics systems implementation within marine shipping operations

Our energy and resources client is seeking a Senior QA Specialist (10+ years) to lead UAT for logistics systems implementation within marine shipping operations

Join an established oil and gas organization delivering critical system implementation projects supporting marine logistics. This position leads end-to-end user acceptance testing for key operational and financial systems related to shipping and invoice processing. The role offers direct engagement with business groups and technical teams to ensure thorough validation ahead of multiple go-live phases.

Duration: 6-month initial contract with a strong possibility of extension.

Working Model: Full-time onsite in downtown Calgary. The successful candidate will provide their own laptop/device.

Must Haves

• 5+ years of UAT leadership and project support within IT project environments
• Marine shipping or logistics systems experience including operational, systems, or billing exposure
• Strong understanding of invoice processing and related financial back-end systems
• Prior involvement in system implementation across energy or resources sectors
• Experience with ALM or similar result-tracking tools

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting logistics applications within large enterprise environments
• Exposure to multi-phase go-live cycles

Responsibilities

• Lead UAT planning, coordination, and execution for logistics and marine system implementations
• Review defined test cases and plans to ensure completeness and alignment with business objectives
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to validate operational and financial workflows
• Support pre- and post-go-live activities for phased system rollouts through end of year
• Provide insight into system functionality and invoice processing integration during testing phases
• Report results through approved platforms and escalate validation issues when identified
