Senior QA Automation Developer to support hospital data integration initiatives for a not-for-profit client!

Our valued not-for-profit client is looking for an experienced QA Automation Developer to support hospital data integration initiatives!


As the successful candidate, you will have strong expertise in test automation, hands-on experience with modern QA tools, and the ability to collaborate within agile teams.


Initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of renewal. 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday. 100% Remote (candidates with the ability to work on-site in Brampton or Ottawa, ON are preferred)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts (Katalon Studio and Zephyr preferred).
  • Define and formalize the overall testing strategy within the team (manual and automated testing).
  • Participate in testing activities including unit, integration, performance, component failure, and regression testing.
  • Write and execute test strategies/plans, create test cases, and oversee defect management.
  • Execute manual testing while the automation tests are in place
  • Work closely with scrum teams (Sprint/Kanban) to support small- to medium-scale project initiatives focused on hospital data integration.
  • Manage end-to-end automation frameworks and ensure continuous improvement of test coverage and efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions to automate testing and deployment workflows.


Must-Have Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA and testing activities.
  • Proven experience as a QA Automation Developer, with a track record of building and managing automation frameworks.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions for test automation and CI/CD integration.
  • Strong knowledge of C#, .NET, Web API, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in Python or familiarity with Python-based test automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Katalon Studio and Zephyr (or similar test automation tools).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in agile team environments (Scrum/Kanban).



Nice to have:

  • Experience with healthcare or hospital data integration projects.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based integration platforms and modern CI/CD practices.
