Description

The Operations Systems Manager is responsible for ensuring the sortation systems within the warehouse/sort facility operates effectively and efficiently to achieve business targets and plans in accordance with customer need sand expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the interface of the Operations team with the automation and information systems.
  • Execute strategies to ensure adequate planning is done to optimize capacity, service, and cost within the Warehouse/Sort facility
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales to understand customer needs and ensure the capability of the sortation system is managed accordingly to meet their needs and expectation of productivity within the warehouse/sort facility.
  • Manage the execution of projects in accordance with the operational plans with on-going cost management, budget control, and performance management per region.
  • Manage administration and operating standards including, analyzing reports, meeting, and exceeding productivity standards.
  • Work with other functions to maximize the benefits and utilization of resources, equipment, personnel, training, and customer strategies.
  • Continuously evaluate the business structure and staffing levels executing key activities in employee lifecycle to manager direct reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean principles in safety, reliability, cost, quality and productivity within the Warehouse/Sort facility
  • Provide direction, leadership, and coaching to teams
Experience
  • 7-10 years operational experience in the industry
  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering or Business
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing teams
  • Engineering automation experience
  • Experience in a warehouse-type environment/sortation facility
  • Experience in an automated sortation facility
  • Demonstrated safety leadership
  • Experience communicating with all levels of business
  • Experience in Lean (Lean Six Sigma) process and methodology. (Green or Black belt certification an asset)

Hours of Work: Monday- Friday: 3:30PM-11:30PM
