Our utilities client is seeking a Senior Project Procurement Specialist to lead procurement strategies and complex Terms and conditions negotiations (legal terms) for major capital and operational projects

Calgary-based office. Candidates will be in-office 3 days/week, and 2 days WFH

Must Haves:

• 15+ years in project procurement across capital project environments with commercial acumen and contract leadership
• Strong proficiency with EPC, equipment supply, and services contracts (Complex T&C negotiations)
• Capability to manage RFx development, bid evaluation, and contract execution (legal terms)
• Experience structuring lump sum, time and materials, and hybrid contract models
• Degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline

Strong Nice-to-Have's:

• Experience with SAP, Ariba, or similar procurement systems
• Familiarity with supplier qualification and logistics for major equipment

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project scope, budget, and risk profile
• Lead sourcing, bid management, negotiation, and award recommendation for project materials and services
• Review and support commercial structures for EPC, equipment supply, and construction agreements
• Advise on compensation mechanisms and contracting models
• Identify and mitigate commercial, scope, and schedule risks across projects
• Collaborate with legal and project teams to ensure contracts support execution and risk allocation
• Monitor supplier performance, compliance, and contract closeout throughout project lifecycle
