Our energy and utilities client is seeking a Senior Project Manager (10+ years) to lead delivery of the Engineering Risk Analysis (ERA) program

Join a high-impact initiative implementing a standardized, quantitative risk assessment solution across transmission and distribution assets within a major energy organization. This role oversees end-to-end program delivery of an IT/OT system integrating risk analytics, data management, and decision-support functions. The position offers strong visibility across executive, technical, and business teams, shaping key regulatory and operational outcomes. The assignment begins with electric assets and provides scalability toward future gas operations.

Contract, Calgary or Edmonton (3 days hybrid)

Must Haves

  • 10+ years in project management delivering large-scale IT/OT programs integrating technology and business operations
  • Expertise in risk analysis systems, asset management, or decision-support solutions within utility environments
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies and organizational change management
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Power BI, and advanced Excel for planning, budgeting, and status reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree and PMP or equivalent IT project management certification

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in regulated electric utilities
  • Exposure to predictive or risk analytics supporting asset investment initiatives
  • Background with regulatory or audit-driven compliance programs
  • Familiarity with environmental or climate-related data such as wildfire risk
  • Experience leveraging AI tools for reporting and stakeholder communication

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of the ERA implementation project
  • Collaborate with Organizational Change Management teams to drive adoption
  • Establish credibility with executives and steering committees to align outcomes
  • Present progress, risks, and milestones to leadership and business partners
  • Manage 3rd party vendors through RFI/RFP, evaluation, and contract execution
  • Oversee data integration across enterprise systems and environmental datasets
  • Adhere to governance frameworks, providing regular status and variance reporting
  • Monitor budgets, forecasts, accruals, and performance against milestones
