Our client is seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist with international importation and shipping experience to manage end-to-end logistics delivery for our oil and gas client.

Join a high-profile operations and project-driven environment supporting complex material deliveries and transportation logistics for major oil and gas facilities. This position oversees site logistics coordination, transport infrastructure, and customs compliance while driving efficiency and cost improvement initiatives under the broader Supply Chain Management strategy. The role provides direct influence over supplier management, KPI tracking, and strategic logistics planning within a dynamic project ecosystem.

This role requires you to be onsite 5 days/week in Calgary downtown office.

Must Haves

• Supply Chain Management designation or equivalent logistics certification
• Minimum 5 years in Expediting and Logistics within the oil and gas industry
• Proficiency with Enterprise Asset Management Systems including Maximo and JDE
• Solid background in Contract Management, negotiation practices, and compliance

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting major project operations in energy sector environments
• Knowledge of site logistics inspection and off-loading coordination procedures
• Familiarity with customs clearance practices across Canada and the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement logistics strategies aligned with corporate Supply Chain objectives
• Collaborate with project teams to drive cost and service improvement initiatives
• Develop and report on Logistics KPI performance to identify improvement opportunities
• Manage transport infrastructure reviews including route surveys and permitting requirements
• Coordinate site logistics such as inspections, off-loading, and inventory management
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with transportation suppliers across ocean, air, and land
• Ensure customs compliance for shipments between Canada and the United States
