Our valued client is seeking a Senior ERP Solutions Architect to develop the conceptual solution in support of the ERP program business case and business readiness phase and transition to implementation.


1 year contract. Hybrid (2-3 days a week on site) in Ottawa, ON.


The successful candidate will support the Corporate Functions Transformation program is a multi-year initiative to modernize digital capabilities, replace highly manual process and leverage AI capabilities across HR, Finance, Procurement, and IT. A cornerstone of this transformation is the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning system(ERP).


Responsibilities:

  • Establish a conceptual architecture for Finance, Procurement, HR and related corporate functions: capabilities, value streams, data domains, and integration patterns.
  • Define non functional requirements & guardrails (security, privacy/data residency, resilience, performance, auditability) and fit to standard principles for the ERP program to reduce customization risk.
  • Produce current target heatmaps and an application/integration disposition (keep/retire/replace) aligned to the Target State Application Environment.
  • Define conceptual data flows across corporate functions and ERP components, showing how master data, transactions, and reporting streams move through the ecosystem
  • Specify the reporting & analytics split (operational reporting within ERP vs. enterprise analytics platform)
  • Map the transition architecture and waves (coexistence vs. big bang; migration increments; cut over criteria) and define the enabling runway (identity/role model, integration platform, data governance, monitoring).
  • Document Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) to capture variances, risks, and rationale traceable to business outcomes.
  • Support the Identification and prioritize of “no regrets” data preparation actions.


Must Have Skills:

  • 10+ years experience as a Solutions Architect
  • 5+ years experience in design and/or implementation of an ERP solution, including HR, Finance and procurement Capabilities for an organization 1500+ employees
  • Experience with Target State Architecture
  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other field relevant to Architecture or equivalent professional experience


Nice to Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF and/or Zachman.)
  • Master of Business Administration
