Our client is looking for a Senior Communications Specialist to lead and support the development and delivery of strategic communications for a Billing System Transformation Program

You will be required to be onsite 3 days/week in Edmonton (if in Calgary willing to travel to Edmonton occasionally)

Must Haves:

• 7+ years' experience working as a Communication Specialist, ideally within a project, transformation, or change environment and with demonstrated progression of responsibilities.
• Previous experience creating internal and external communication
• Outstanding writing, editing, and storytelling skills-able to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Must have some OCM experience
• Must have SharePoint experience as you will be the owner of the internal site.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and execute the Program Communications Plan.
• Develop and execute internal communication strategies and schedule that supports business readiness and user adoption for a phased implementation.
• Develop external stakeholder communications for the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC),market participants (retailers) and customer groups.
• Translate change impacts into targeted, actionable messaging for leaders, users, and other stakeholder groups.
• Tailor communications to multiple audiences (from front-line users to senior executives and, in some cases, market participants/customers), ensuring tone, clarity, and relevance.
• Distill technical and operational information into easy-to-understand visuals and messaging
