Senior Business Analyst to support building a data governance model and a data reporting and analytics platform implementation

Client preference is 5 days / week in office to start

Must have:

• Senior Business Analyst who has supported building out data governance models in an on prem and cloud (Azure) environment including:
• Data lineage, Data Quality, data stewardship, data protection, data management
• Experience as Business Analyst on Data Reporting and Analytics Platforms (Incorta, Tableau, Snowflake etc) implementations
• Experience developing business requirements for data-driven initiatives involving data lakes, data warehouses, and big data platforms
• Strong experience developing test plans, test cases and supporting business through testing

What you will be doing:

· Gather, document, and validate business requirements for data-driven initiatives involving data lakes, data warehouses, and big data platforms.

· Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable data requirements and user stories for technical teams.

· Analyze existing data flows and reporting structures to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

· Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure alignment on data architecture and governance standards.

· Support data governance efforts by documenting metadata, data lineage, and business definitions.

· Interpret data outputs and dashboards to provide insights and recommendations that drive business decisions.

· Assist in the development of test cases and validation strategies for data pipelines and reporting solutions.

· Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for requirement, process flows, and data dictionaries.

· Facilitate stakeholder workshops and interviews to define data ownership, data quality issues, etc.
