2 days a week in office: Mississauga

6 months to start

Scope:

· Conduct a comprehensive safety audit of current practices, policies, and workplace conditions

· Identify gaps in compliance with local, provincial, and federal safety regulations

· Identify gaps in compliance with ISO safety certifications

· Identify Vale Base Metals relevant safety policy and procedures that apply to Sheridan Park

· Engage with key stakeholders to understand specific safety concerns and operational risks

· Group, prioritize and rank the safety concerns and operational risks

· Engage with VBM corporate safety team and operational safety teams in Sudbury or Port Colborne to determine tools, program and resources can be adapted for SP

· Develop an overall plan to address highest risks in 6 months and 12 months


Must haves:

  • Experience Safety coordinator/Consultant to develop an overall written safety program, including the documentation and programs needed to close legislative gaps and address highest risks.
  • Laboratory, construction or heavy industry safety background
