Intermediate Exchange Online Support Specialist to support enterprise messaging operations using Microsoft 365, Proofpoint, and Microsoft Purview (JP525)

Our public sector client is seeking an Intermediate Exchange Online Support Specialist to support enterprise messaging operations using Microsoft 365, Proofpoint, and Microsoft Purview

Contract, Calgary-based office, Candidates can be 100% remote in Canada

Must Haves

• 6+ years in Exchange Online and enterprise email operations
• 6+ years of Systems Administration in Active Directory and virtual server environments
• 6+ years working with the Microsoft Purview platform for data governance
• 6+ years of PowerShell scripting and administration for Exchange Online
• 4+ years in mail flow troubleshooting, Proofpoint and Microsoft Defender support, and DMARC/DKIM/SPF enforcement
• 4+ years administering Azure AD (Entra ID) and working in ITIL-aligned operational support models

Nice to Haves:

• BMC Remedy service management experience
• Familiarity with Intune, Conditional Access, and MFA operations
• Experience with email routing or load balancing via Citrix Netscaler
• Background in large enterprise or public sector environments
• Strong communication supporting technical teams and business users

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support for Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 email services
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve mail flow and delivery issues
• Manage email security, including Proofpoint and Microsoft Defender
• Oversee DMARC, DKIM, and SPF configurations with vendor coordination
• Administer mailbox provisioning, permissions, and shared resources
• Support incident, problem, and change management processes
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve identity and access issues within Entra ID and Active Directory
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and service knowledge artifacts
