Our public sector client is seeking an Intermediate Business Analyst to assist with process improvements, and creating technical design documents

Edmonton-based office. Candidates can be 100% remote, working MST hours

Must haves:

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, or Business Systems Analyst with a background in Software development/Implementation projects.
• Experience creating business and technical processes, and process reviews/re-engineering for existing processes.
• Experience creating technical design documents including business requirements and functional specifications
• Experience facilitating project status meetings and other meetings
• Experience as a Project Manager

Nice to haves:

• Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills
• CBAP designation
• Degree in a related discipline

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for taking business requirements and translating them into technical requirements and solutions
• Create project documents and associated planning documents
• Lead consultations and facilitate stakeholder meetings
• Create business requirements, functional specifications and technical requirements.
• Create new business and technical processes and complete business process reviews/re-engineering for existing processes
• Facilitate business process improvement sessions
• Schedule, organize and lead project status meetings and other meetings as required
• Responsible for business architecture design, software system specifications design, and database modelling
• Participate iterative development using model-based processes.
• Perform project management, business and technical analysis and systems design in delivering complex software solutions
