Description
Our crown corporation client is seeking a Enterprise Architect to provide strategic and technical leadership through effective, scalable, and sustainable technology architecture.
Initially a 12-months contract to start. 35 hours/week. 2 days/week onsite.
Must Have:
- 5+ years as an Enterprise Architect
- Experience in moving an organization from an on-premises data centre model to a cloud-based model built around Microsoft solutions
- Expert in Azure cloud architecture
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft tools, including cross-platform integration tools.
Reporting to the Manager of the Information Technology, key responsibilities of the role include:
Strategic Planning & Alignment
- Define and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
- Partner with executive leadership to translate business vision into technology initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to guide long-term strategic planning.
- Architecture Design & Governance
- Develop and maintain architectural blueprints across business, data, application, and technology domains.
- Produce and maintain architecture artifacts, models, and documentation.
- Establish and enforce architecture principles, standards, and reference models.
- Assess and recommend major solution designs for alignment with enterprise architecture.
- Develop and track Enterprise Architecture Review Board (EARB) performance metrics supporting continuous improvement of the project-facing EARB service.
- Report on architectural maturity, compliance, and roadmap progress to executive stakeholders.
Technology Leadership & Advisory
- Provide guidance to solution architects, developers, and project teams, leading and supporting them through the EARB process.
- Evaluate vendor solutions and platforms for fit within the enterprise landscape.
- Identify opportunities for technology reuse, consolidation, and optimization.
- Define transition architectures to support incremental modernization and transformation efforts.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with business leaders, IT operations, cybersecurity, and development teams.
- Communicate architectural decisions and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Serve as a key liaison between business and technology functions.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify architectural risks and recommend risk response strategies.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning from an architectural perspective.
