Our public sector client is seeking a M365 Business Analyst/Strategic Analytics Consultant to support SharePoint Online, Power Platform Apps in the M365 ecosystem related projects


Initial contract goes till end of March 2026 with strong possibilities of extensions for next fiscal year. 35 hours/week (7 hours/day maximum). Hybrid model mandatory Tuesdays and Thursdays on-site (could be more on some weeks). Additionally, first 4 days on-site for onboarding. We will accept out of province candidates only if the candidate meets all the ‘Must Have’ requirements and the candidate is able to come for the first week for the onboarding as well as once a month (3PM meeting day on Thursdays) at own expense.


Must have:

  • 3+ years SharePoint Online (365)
  • Experience with SharePoint Online site collections, sites, libraries, and lists.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online administration and settings.
  • Understanding of integration between SharePoint Online and core M365 apps.
  • Knowledge of document libraries, metadata, versioning, and content types.
  • Familiarity with information architecture, taxonomy, and navigation.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint Online permissions model and access controls.
  • MS Teams and OneDrive.
  • 3+ years Power Platform:
  • Power Platform Apps in the M365 Ecosystem.
  • Experience designing, testing, and implementing workflows using Power Automate.
  • Power BI reporting and dashboards (including Power Query and DAX)
  • 3+ years Business Analysis:
  • Elicitation and understanding of needs.
  • Business process mapping.
  • Clear documentation.


Nice to Have (Recent experience and at least 3 years):

  • User adoption:
  • Developing user guides and training materials.
  • Conducting training sessions.
  • Customization and configuration:
  • Experience with Power Apps design and customization
  • Knowledge of JSON.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Exposure to development of test plans and executing test cases.
  • Other:
  • Experience with documents/records management.
  • Understanding of compliance, retention policies, and data loss prevention.
  • Technical scripting e.g. REST API, PowerShell, or PnP.


Hybrid work:

Office presence includes Tuesdays and Thursdays, and other occasions as required.

Schedule Hours:

Must work based on team’s schedule hours (e.g. 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Pacific Time) with 1 hour lunch (7 hours working hours per day) and following the the organization stat holidays and Christmas week closure.
