is a prestigious establishment located on the shores of the stunning . The hotel’s fine-dining restaurant offers a refined culinary experience and is renowned for having the best wine cellar in the region, welcoming both local and international clientele in an exceptional setting.

The Ripplecove Hôtel & Spa team is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Head waiter to lead the dining room service during evening shifts (Tipped position).

The Role

As the Head waiter, you will be at the heart of the guest experience, overseeing dining room operations and ensuring every guest receives a warm welcome and impeccable service. You will also take part in the restaurant’s administrative management in collaboration with the Executive Chef. Your time will be divided between the dining floor and administrative duties at an approximate ratio of 60/40.

This is an evening position, with shifts generally scheduled between 2 p.m. and midnight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and guide guests throughout their dining experience
  • Supervise and coordinate dining room service, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to maintain seamless communication between the dining room and the kitchen
  • Manage reservations and optimize table assignments
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dining area
  • Participate in executive meetings and contribute expertise on continuous improvement
  • Oversee all evening service administrative tasks

Requested skills

Requirements

  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in fine dining service
  • Sommelier training (an asset)
  • Strong energy and anticipation skills
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining exceptional service standards
  • Previous experience as an head waiter (an asset)

Compensation: $20–35 CAD/hour (Base pay of $20 CAD/hour + tips during floor service time)
