About Brucejack
Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

As the Underground Mobile Maintenance Lead Hand at Brucejack Mine, you’ll play a key role in supporting underground mining operations by leading maintenance activities on underground mobile equipment. You’ll ensure repairs are safely executed, schedules are followed, and equipment is operating reliably to meet production demands.
- Lead a team of underground heavy-duty mechanics and tradespeople in the absence of the supervisor
- Diagnose, service, and repair underground mobile mining equipment, including haul trucks, scoop trams, bolters, auxiliary equipment, and Toyota vehicles
- Coordinate daily maintenance priorities and support underground planning schedules
- Ensure work is performed safely, in compliance with OEM standards and mine regulations
- Maintain accurate records for equipment usage, maintenance logs, and repairs
- Foster a culture of safety, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with supervisors, planners, and underground operations teams to minimize downtime
- Red Seal certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician
- Minimum 5 years of experience with underground mobile equipment in a mining environment
- Demonstrated leadership in maintenance settings, ideally as a lead hand or senior mechanic
- Strong mechanical diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods certifications
- Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), MS Excel and Word
- Valid driver’s license
- Location: Brucejack Mine (remote, fly-in/fly-out)
- Rotation: 13 days on / 13 days off
- Facilities: Private room, all meals provided, access to gym, recreation, and camp amenities
- Conditions: Underground, camp-based environment with heavy equipment exposure
- Requirements: Pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol testing, and PPE compliance

The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
