About Brucejack

Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

Your Impact

As the Supervisor, Exploration Near Mine, you will lead safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of near-mine exploration programs. You will guide field operations, ensure geological data integrity, uphold standards, and support planning and reporting, all while developing and mentoring a capable exploration team.

As Part of Our Team, You Will
  • Supervise daily drilling and geological field activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
  • Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture through inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Support incident investigations and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
  • Oversee SOP application and updates to maintain consistent standards across the exploration team.
  • Monitor program progress, adjust schedules, and resolve operational bottlenecks.
  • Validate drillhole data, ensuring accuracy in logging, sampling, QA/QC, and survey control.
  • Deliver weekly program updates and monthly QA/QC reporting.
  • Contribute to drill program design, target prioritization, and geological modelling.
  • Support short- and medium-term planning, including resource allocation and scheduling.
  • Provide supervision, mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to the exploration team.
Prerequisites for Your Success in this Role
  • Professional Degree in Geological Science and deep understanding of ore deposit models, structural geology, and geotechnical principles.
  • Registered or eligible to register for a P.Geo certification with EGBC.
  • Experience supervising exploration or drilling programs in near-mine or brownfields environments.
  • Strong project management, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Leapfrog, Deswik, and Acquire, with strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and exploration best practices.
  • Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and balance safety, efficiency, and technical accuracy.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with drilling partners, laboratories, contractors, and internal technical teams.
  • Demonstrated capability in coaching, mentoring, performance management, and team development.
  • Ability to manage QA/QC programs
  • Experience with drilling data management
  • Strong capability in technical training and team development

The Brucejack Operations team is now recruiting for the position of Supervisor, Exploration Near Mine with a competitive base salary between $103,300 - $137,700, with an additional short-term incentive of 15%. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, with consideration to internal equity.

The expected salary range for this role is CA$103,300-137,700/year + 15% STIP . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
