Senior Advisor Operational Risk

A career in risk management at National Bank means participating in the transformation and having a direct impact on clients. As a Senior Advisor - Operational Risk, you will work with various stakeholders to ensure the operational risk management framework is in place for National Bank Direct Brokerage (NBDB). You will support the business unit and act as an expert on various topics related to operational risk. You will also be part of a team that questions the status quo and values the evolution. 

Your role: 

• Roll out the operational risk management framework and applicable policies within NBDB

• Oversee NBDB projects and ensure appropriate risk governance

• Perform analyses (ORSA), make recommendations to mitigate risks and ensure action plans are implemented

• Documenting and reconciling operational events

• Manage risk governance activities, which include third parties, cybersecurity, controls and operational resilience activities

• Manage the business continuity plan for NBDB 

Your team: 

As a member of the Operational Risk team for Wealth Management, you will be part of a team of colleagues in Operational Risk, Credit and Privacy, and you will report to the Senior Director - Operational Risk.

Prerequisites:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience

• Experience in operational risk

• Solid knowledge of direct brokerage activities

• Experience in project management

• Knowledge of the sourcing process is an asset

• Ability to prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership teams

• Proactive and ability to set priorities
