A career as a Director - Business Governance within the ALM and Investments - Capital Markets team means working at the heart of the strategic and operational realities of asset management across various investment platforms. This strategic role is designed to lead the governance of ALM and investment activities in a dynamic environment where asset management, regulatory compliance, and organizational innovation are central to the Bank’s growth.
Your role:
- Defining and implementing business governance policies and frameworks for ALM & Investments activities that impact asset management on different platforms, helping teams operate within a structured governance environment.
- Organizing the content for various committees under the team’s responsibility and ensuring compliance with established organizational governance. Providing advice and recommendations to the team as needed.
- Supporting the ALM & Investments leadership team in strategic decision-making, while ensuring robust asset management practices and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Analyzing strategic initiatives and transactions in advance to identify issues and establish risk mitigation mechanisms.
- Ensuring the integrity of fiduciary roles and asset management processes, identifying arising challenges, and proposing innovative solutions.
- Overseeing compliance with regulatory environments in banking, insurance, pension plans, and securities as part of our business activities, while supporting team performance and organizational resilience.
- Serving as a resource and point of reference for compliance, risk management, legal affairs, and other corporate sectors.
- Ensuring effective communication tailored to each target audience and fostering a positive influence within the team and among stakeholders.

Within the Business Governance - ALM and Investments sector, you are part of a team of four colleagues and report to the Chief and General Manager, Business Governance, ALM and Investments, Capital Markets.

Prerequisites:
- Graduate degree (Master’s) in law, finance, management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in business governance within a financial institution, insurer, asset manager, or large pension plan.
- In-depth knowledge of financial products, fiduciary roles, and asset management principles.
- Expertise in banking, insurance, securities, and pension plan regulatory environments is a major asset.
- Excellent ability to write executive documents, explain complex concepts, and present polished materials.
- Experience in inter-team coordination, strategic project planning, tracking, and management.
- Demonstrated leadership, constructive influence, professional ethics, integrity and professionalism, strong collaboration and communication skills.
