Senior Solution Manager

The Solution Manager will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing our travel and expense management technology.

This role requires a deep understanding of workflow and process architecture, coupled with a strong software engineering background, database skills, and proven leadership skills, to deliver efficient and user-friendly solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Define and communicate the solution vision and strategy for the employee expense management platform.
  • Develop and maintain the technical product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Work with business partners to prioritize and manage the product backlog, working closely with development teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements.
  • Workflow and Process Architecture:Design and optimize workflows and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the expense management system.
  • Work closely with collaborators to collect needs and translate them into functional specifications and user stories.
  • Evaluate current processes and see opportunities for automation and improvement.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and business partners to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical collaborators, ensuring a clear understanding of product features and capabilities.
  • Report solution updates and progress to senior management and other collaborators.
  • Offer technical mentorship and support to development teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies that can be brought to bear in the travel and expense management platform.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party solutions and tools as needed to improve product capabilities.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and gather feedback to inform product development.
  • Ensure the product delivers a seamless and intuitive user experience for end-users managing expenses and reimbursements.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in product ownership or management, with a focus on workflow and process architecture.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of modern technology stacks, particularly within the Azure ecosystem, microservices using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), SQL Server, Python, and automation tools such as Azure Data Factory.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in enterprise-level technologies, such as ERP systems, SaaS solutions, and APIs, with a focus on using these tools for efficient product development and integration.
  • Experience integrating complex systems, particularly in HR and Finance environments, ensuring seamless data flow and process efficiency across platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile development environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Informatica and CA Workload Automation would be an asset.

Salary range is expected to be between

$94,220.00 CAD - $174,980.00 CAD
