Purpose of the Position

Plan, monitor, and adjust procurement activities for the products required for the industrial operations of the DCM Group, with the goal of producing quality parts safely, at the lowest overall operational cost, while meeting customer requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Place purchase orders with suppliers based on requests issued by production sites;
  • Ensure compliance with contractual pricing for purchased products and services;
  • Identify and qualify new approved sources to resolve specific or urgent supply issues;
  • Monitor and follow up on suppliers’ order backlogs;
  • Ensure ERP parameters are kept up to date in accordance with established procedures;
  • Execute and support strategic initiatives established by the corporation;
  • Follow up with delinquent suppliers and keep production teams informed of any potential delays;
  • Experience with hardware and electronic components (an asset);
  • Perform any other related tasks as required.
Job Requirements Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience;
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in purchasing and supply chain management;
  • Experience in the aerospace industry is an asset.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and at least one ERP system;
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as AS9100 or ISO 9001;
  • Excellent proficiency in French (spoken and written), along with advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written), is required to support regular communications with clients and suppliers outside of Quebec.
Personal Skills
  • Well-organized and respectful of deadlines;
  • Able to manage stress and work under pressure;
  • Demonstrates leadership and professionalism;
  • Strong analytical and summarization skills.
