Position Purpose

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the incumbent will support the painter in the daily activities of the painting department and perform the preparation of parts prior to painting.

Responsibilities
  • Clean parts prior to masking and sandblasting;
  • Sandblast and mask parts before they are painted;
  • Strip parts when required;
  • Perform touch-ups on parts;
  • Prepare the paint booth according to usage frequency (filter changes);
  • Polish or soak tools required for painting (hooks and racks);
  • Clean sandblasting and painting equipment;
  • Assist the painter as needed;
  • Comply with safety standards;
  • Perform any other related duties.
Job Requirements
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Training in industrial painting or surface treatment (an asset).
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of AS9100 standards (an asset);
  • Knowledge of practices in the aviation industry (an asset).
Personal Skills
  • High attention to detail;
  • Manual dexterity;
  • Teamwork;
  • Time and priority management.
