Purpose of the Position

The incumbent of this position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and monitoring the company’s production equipment. Their role is essential in minimizing production downtime, optimizing machine performance, and ensuring operational continuity.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, identify root causes, and repair production and building equipment;
  • Coordinate and oversee external specialized services (electromechanical subcontractors);
  • Handle requisitions and follow-up for spare parts;
  • Provide production support and ensure the production line remains operational at all times;
  • Update task-related documentation;
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, apply maintenance plans, and document interventions;
  • Manage the maintenance schedule;
  • Comply with occupational health and safety standards and procedures while performing duties (e.g., lockout/tagout, working at heights, etc.);
  • Propose solutions to optimize equipment reliability and performance;
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job RequirementsEducation Required

  • DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) or DEC (College Diploma) in Electromechanics (any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered)

Technical Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance and equipment repair;
  • Experience maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines is considered an asset.
