As Senior Vice-President, Ag Production Business Financing, you’ll provide strategic leadership to FCC’s small business lending portfolio across Western Canada, shaping the vision, priorities and performance outcome for the team. You’ll drive portfolio growth, ensure effective risk management and champion an integrated approach to delivering financing, advice and support to agricultural producers and farm operations. Your work will strengthen FCC’s presence in the region and contribute to long-term customer and organizational success.
You’ll be part of the senior leadership team that shapes strategy, aligning execution with corporate priorities, customer needs and evolving market conditions. You’ll work closely with executive leadership, risk management, finance, operations and product teams to enable consistent execution, modernize lending approaches, and meet strategic growth and risk objectives. You will also collaborate across divisions to strengthen partnerships, share insights, and drive initiatives that enhance customer value and operational excellence.

What you’ll do
Translate FCC’s bold aspiration into regional execution that strengthens Canadian agriculture
Lead the strategic development and growth of the sales area portfolio, ensuring a targeted portfolio of assets are disbursed and managed according to eligibility guidelines, corporate strategy and risk tolerance
Safeguard portfolio quality in full alignment with FCC policies, risk appetite and governance
Build high-performing teams while modernizing how we lend
Foster a customer-inspired mindset, encouraging sales area staff to deliver an enhanced customer experience
Promote understanding of customer needs and relevant customized solutions, value-add knowledge and advice, and simplicity in processes
Drive continuous process improvement within the team, developing best practices
Develop and maintain advanced knowledge of financial industry and agriculture market conditions
Represent FCC to media, industry partners, centres of influence and representatives from all levels of government
What you’ll bring to the team
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in agricultural finance, business or commerce
At least 12 years of experience in senior leadership roles (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
Proven leadership qualities and the ability to partner and work cross-divisionally at a senior leadership level
Extensive financial and agricultural industry knowledge
In-depth understanding of lending practices, theories and trends supplemented by knowledge of marketing, sales, credit and risk management
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge of Western Canadian agriculture market dynamics, including regional crop/livestock sectors and supply‑chains
Demonstrated success leading transformation or scaling operations in a complex environment
Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
