A career as a Regional Head, Treasury Management means acting as a leader in the Cash Management area to increase market share in deposits and cash management revenues, while supporting high value clients. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to influence the development of innovative products and solutions to meet client needs and position National Bank as a market leader.

*This position may be graded at either the G6 or G7 level


Your Role:

  • Work with the Head of Treasury Management, Western Canada to contribute to the Bank’s strategic direction in cash management and deposit growth while supporting high value commercial clients.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high performing team by providing guidance, feedback and support to help direct reports achieve their objectives.
  • Leverage networks and relationships and engage in market activities to actively seek new business opportunities and grow cash flow management activities to ensure revenue growth.
  • Contribute to the development of expertise among Account Managers, Associate VPs, and RVPs, and promote integration with Business Services Canada to foster a client-centric advisory approach.
  • Meet and actively engage with leaders of business sectors and regions you support to define strategic initiatives and identify opportunities for synergy and market growth.
  • Drive non-lending activities by supporting direct and non direct team members in their development of client  strategy reviews.
  • Contribute to the Treasury Management team by adopting a culture of sales and customer service, and proactively support others on the team in achieving the business unit’s objectives.
  • Support and guide the execution of the ongoing digital transformation in the sector by implementing best practices within your region.
  • Collaborate with other Regional counterparts, as well as Sales and Service and Strategy teams to enhance Cash Management products, policies and processes.
Your Team:
Within the Commercial and Private Wealth 1859 sector, you will be part of a large team of cash management specialists across Canada. This position reports to the Head of Treasury Management for Western Canada, and the selected candidate will collaborate closely with other regional leaders and will cover Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan markets. Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the business sector and 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in a related field and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Significant experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience in sales and business development in the commercial banking sector.
  • Experience and expertise in cash management products.
  • CTP designation: an asset.
  • Some travel required within the market/region
