Danson Decor Inc. is a leader in the import and distribution of seasonal and home décor products for the commercial holiday market. For over 85 years, we have delivered innovative, trend-forward collections across more than 10,000 decorative products.
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Inside Sales Representative to grow the business through prospecting, client acquisition, account development, and exceptional service to existing customers. The role includes generating new opportunities, supporting showroom activities, participating in trade shows, and contributing hands-on to customer visits and event execution. This is a 100% on-site position based at our office and showroom, with travel required for customer meetings and trade shows as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business growth through outbound prospecting, lead generation, and client acquisition activities.
- Build, manage, and convert a strong sales pipeline through proactive outreach, follow-up, and relationship development.
- Present product offerings, negotiate commercial terms, and close new business opportunities.
- Maintain and grow existing customer accounts through exceptional service, retention, cross-selling, and upselling initiatives.
- Prepare quotes and planograms to assist in the sale process.
- Host customer meetings and support client visits in the Danson showroom while ensuring product displays and presentation standards are maintained.
- Attend trade shows and industry events to strengthen customer relationships and develop new business opportunities.
- Contribute hands-on to trade show preparation and execution, including booth setup, merchandising, product installation, and teardown.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to support customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and business objectives.
- Monitor market trends and maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline, and forecasting information within SAP.
- Meet or exceed established sales targets and key performance indicators.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required to support business needs.
Qualifications and preferred traits
- 5 years experience in inside sales, business development, lead generation, or account acquisition.
- Hunter mentality with a strong focus on net-new business development.
- Demonstrated success in prospecting and new customer acquisition.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Good command of Excel and of an ERP software (SAP preferably)
- Data-driven approach to managing sales performance.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Competitive, persistent, and goal-oriented.
- Bilingualism (French and English)
- Comfortable contributing in a hands-on environment, including showroom preparation and trade show setup activities.
- Availability to work 100% on-site and travel as required, for customer visits and trade shows.
