Reporting to the Building Maintenance Supervisor, the worker will perform these tasks on a regular basis and according to the schedule established by the Supervisor:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· General cleaning of the Office, Showroom and Warehouse

· Clean and disinfect washrooms and cafeterias

· Clean interior windows and vents periodically.

· Empty garbage cans, recycle bins and other garbage containers.

· Dispose of recyclable waste from building

· Restock paper supplies, water machines and customer coffee machine when needed

· Monitor the condition of the premises to ensure safety and high standards of cleanliness and report any deficiencies to the maintenance supervisor.

· Maintain essential building functions during supervisor’s vacations and absences

Assist supervisor when needed with:

· Minor repairs to the building: painting, plastering, carpentry…

· Mowing the lawn, maintaining the grounds and taking care of the plants.

· Clearing snow and ice from sidewalks and entrances to the building.

Perform all other related tasks as requested

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 1-2 years of relevant experience (commercial cleaning or building maintenance)

· Communicate in French and English

· Manual dexterity

· Knowledge of maintenance tools and processes, an asset

· Ability to perform demanding, sometimes repetitive physical work, such as lifting, pushing or pulling objects weighing up to 23kg/50 lbs., standing for extended periods of time, working both indoors and outdoors.

· Ability to work autonomously or in a team

· Punctual, resourceful, and reliable.

· Adaptable to last-minute requests
