Description
General summary
We’re looking for a Trade Marketing Coordinator to join our Commercial team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of Cannara’s trade marketing programs across Canada. You’ll help bring our brands to life in-store and online by coordinating print and point-of-sale assets, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring flawless execution of trade activations.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Trade Marketing Execution
- Coordinate the production, distribution, and inventory management of trade marketing materials (print, POS, signage, displays);
- Support the execution of promotional campaigns, activations, and in-store programs in collaboration with Sales and Marketing;
- Track campaign performance and compile recap reports with learnings and recommendations.
Vendor & Budget Management
- Manage relationships with print, promotional, and trade vendors to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.
- Support budget tracking, invoice processing, and spend reconciliation related to trade marketing activities.
- Ensure cost-effective execution of trade programs by obtaining competitive vendor quotes.
Sales & Retail Support
- Provide Sales teams with toolkits, sell sheets, and trade materials to support customer meetings and retail execution.
- Maintain inventory of trade assets at HQ and coordinate shipments to provincial boards, territory managers, and retailers.
- Collaborate with Sales to support retailer-specific requests for merchandising and promotional support.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Brand, Marketing, and Supply Chain to align trade activities with product launches and brand campaigns.
- Assist in coordinating Cannara’s presence at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
- Contribute to internal reporting and provide visibility on trade marketing performance to leadership.
Work environment
Requested skills
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field;
- 1–3 years of experience in trade marketing, retail marketing, or sales support (CPG or cannabis industry preferred);
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Experience coordinating vendors, budgets, and logistics;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate cross-functionally;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with project management or marketing tools is an asset;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment;
- Bilingual (French & English).
