Electrical Engineer SSV Team Lead

As the Electrical Team Lead within SSV engineering, you will be responsible for the technical, human, and strategic management of electrical expertise in a matrix structure. You will play a key role in the development of innovative electrical systems for BRP vehicles, ensuring consistency, quality, and the evolution of the discipline.

 

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Ensure the management of human resources for electrical expertise (recruitment, development, assessment).

  • Define, provide, and maintain the necessary design and validation tools for this expertise.

  • Supervise simulation, validation, laboratory testing, and comparative testing activities.

  • Implement and monitor DVP processes (Design Verification Plan), FPS (Functional Performance Specification), DFx, PFMEA, and DFMEA.

  • Develop and monitor the certification plan for electrical systems.

  • Ensure continuous technology monitoring to maintain cutting-edge expertise.

  • Manage technical relationships with key suppliers.

  • Define and monitor the Tooling Release Plan.

  • Plan resources based on projects and priorities.

  • Lead and develop a group of colleagues within the competency to promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

 

THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A university degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, including team or project management.

  • Proficiency in electrical design, validation, and simulation tools and methods.

  • Extensive knowledge of quality standards and processes (DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP, etc.).

  • Recognized leadership, and the ability to mobilize and develop a team.

  • Excellent communication skills in French and English.

  • The ability to thrive in a matrix and multidisciplinary environment.
